I've been ringing around for some bikes asking whether they'd be interested to take my tmax mk1 as part exchange and not got many interest...
Then spotted this burgman 400za up in peterborough from a bmw dealer that took it as part exchange. One owner with 9760 miles advertised at 3695.
I sent off some photos of my bike including the marks on the bodywork and they offered 1000 for it. Then i bargained a bit more saying the burgman will need a belt change around 14000 miles and they got the price down to 3580.
That means i can get this 2010 one owner burgman for a good price... Or does it?
Let me know what you guys think:

Then also there's this one, which is very close in price, but has no ABS or hand guards or heating. on the plus side, it's got less miles and it's newer.

I personally like the grey colour over black and don't fancy the wooden dashboard thingy on the limited edition, but then again, ABS is a big plus, as well as the other additional things (hand guard+heated grips)
I also like the brown seat over the black one...
I'm split into two... can't decide

I'd go for the black one myself, more extras and better looking IMO.

Dilemmas dilemmas.
They both look pretty good. The silver one has less miles, so good in that way, but the other has ABS....
Both not a lot of dosh for a lot of nearly new scoot!

amazing isn't it, how cheap for such a great bike overall. I feel spoilt for choice. I wish other scooters were this many around

Re: trade in deal for burgman 400za
I like the look of the silver one. But that is probably because I just like that colour and the black 400z abs is a bit dirty in the piccy! I couldn't get the abs model in that bright silver when I bought mine. So my 400z is a darker silver/grey and black. Looks alright though and I'm pleased with it. No problemsl They are indeed both a lot of bike for the money. I guess the lower miles one represents good value if you are going to put a top box on it as you won't be wasting the passenger back rest on the 400z abs which has to come off for the box to fit. And you can spec that one up with some Oxford heated grips (very cheap and easy to fit) and some handguards and you've then got a really low miler well specified bike. No abs though. Having had the experience I did this year with a delinquent deer sort of creature, the abs is worth it's weight in gold to me so that's actually the one I'd go for but each to his own and either will be an excellent buy and will last for years and years and years, and more years, probably decades until you are sick of it in fact, and then some more years!!
Probably not ugly enough for the 'Ugly Bunch'!

This is or was a great bargain near to me. I was so tempted and would have had it but with a L1 650 and bought Steve_M's '58' 400 the week before it was posted, I would have looked like a bike trader. There is a genuine story as to why. If you want a story I can post it?

I spoke to him tonight and he has px'd it for this, and being delivered\collected. I blessing really as I was still tempted

Re: trade in deal for burgman 400za
I saw that 400 on ebay, showroom condition indeed!
I sent off some piccies to the guy for the silver one, we'll have a chat tomorrow morning to see what he'd pay for it. Earlier on the phone i told him i would look for 1200-1400 for mine and he said that's a realistic value :0
Surprising really for a 2003 tmax with 31000 miles and marks all over the bodywork... Then again, i guess their markup on the burgman would be high enough to compensate for that.

Re: trade in deal for burgman 400za
I sent an email to these two as well :p
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251166553926
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/180866481355
Lets see what they offer for my bike. Me being the greedy halfabusa, i'd be more satisfied with the big daddy knowing that its easier to win the traffic light grand prix with the sig fiddy.
The only risk with these two is that i cant see either of them before buying because they are just too far away from me, so i would need to get it delivered without having a chance to check it out... They do look clean enough though...
Sleepless nights await me trying to decide forever...
