You highlited the only thing i worry about, would i notice the difference... I hope not as i want to be attached to this one like i did to my burgman 650 . Power isnt everything though, cause i was never that attached to the tmax...

I came to the Burgman from a GSX 1400cc and DL1000GT and of course I noticed the power drop, but it really didn't matter. You get used to what you are riding really quickly. I was getting so bored with being able to blow off mostly anything else on two or four wheels with just a very slight right hand movement. The GSX1400 would go 0-100mph AND stop in 10.8 seconds!! But the Burger has plenty of power for most situations and is much nicer to ride, more fun too. Your new baby is not yet fully run in. At 2500 odd miles the engine conforming is still going on and it won't be fully loosened until you've done at least another 1500 miles or so. So power on yours will get better by a little. Burgman cruising performance is on par with what I had become used to mostly as well. But the fuel economy is so so much better on the Burg. The Burg has made me use my roadcraft skills better too. Less power equals better planning needed to overtake a line of cars on A roads. But it does it ok. It's not lacking in power. Cranking up the rear suspension wil largely stop any centre stand grounding. I've everso lightly touched down once in a very tight bend with a passenger onboard when I was testing out the handling near to it's limits. Suspension was on quite a soft setting at the time. Haven't done it since as I just don't need to go over to that sort of limit in proper riding. You'll be fine with your new baby I'm sure!

Still getting run in? Ohhh i didn't think it would still be in that stage. So do i need to keep the revs to some limit and vary the throttle ?

No, after the first 600 mile service the criteria for this is to keep below 6000 rpm up to 1000 miles, then it is deemed run in by Suzuki. But how do you know that the previous owner kept to that? You have to only hope they were a conciousness owner rider with their love and joy. You're having a service done so don't worry, ride sensibly and you'll be okay.

Yeah, as bornagain says, it'll be fine. It actually doesn't even matter too much if someone has treated it a bit rough earlier in it's life. They take it ok. And as bornagain says, the initial running in is now complete. Yours looks well cared for anyway. You can ride it how you like but the engine will just continue to shape it's cylinder, piston and rings further. All engines do and it gets faster and faster. It's just noticeable too. My engine is just getting better and better. Enjoy!

Did you order the extra thick wind for your tyres as well?
