Has anyone out there had the opportunity to ride the T Max as a direct comparison to the Burgman (400/650). Getting a test ride seems to be near impossible. Any views would be appreciated.

Re: T Max 530
mac, not sure how useful this is, but I have ridden a 2005 model just a few months ago which I appreciate is different to the newer model. It had just 10k on the clock and seemed to go well. At that time I had no other real scooter experience to compare it with but it had plenty of power, handled ok etc. The particular model I rode was looking pretty shabby and had lots of corrosion on the engine and ancilliary parts. However, I was swayed away from the Tmax by the quite low fuel economy and increased dealer maintenance costs over the Burgman 400. It just depends what you are looking for I guess. I do like the look of the new model 530. Can Yamaha central command uk help with locating a dealer demo model?
Probably not ugly enough for the 'Ugly Bunch'!

Thanks, I have almost certainly killed the idea on a value for money basis and will be buying a new Burgman 400 for the beginning of 2013. I an hoping that the new model will be released for then but if not then a new AZ it shall be. (can do some serious touring with the 3k saved).
