First scooter

Believe it or not I have never owned a scooter before so apologies for the question. Im hoping to pick up my Gilera ST200 tomorrow and just wondered about something. Can I assume the left lever is for the back brake and the right lever is the front brake.

Yep, you got it.
It'll be a bit unnerving for the first couple of ride outs, until you get used to not pulling in the clutch, but you'll soon get used to it.
After which, you will, probably, never want to go back to a manual ever again... icon_hubba.gif

Thanks spike thats what im hoping but I wont be going back to a manual bike anytime soon I dont think.

So will I be able to get my knee down :D

Absolutely no problem at all, just double up on knee sliders and act like a monkey-boy and I'm sure you'll succeed! :D

:lol: I dont plan on trying it stopped that many moons ago when I was 17 or 18 on my CB100N trying to be like Foggy.

Well, most push bikes....my colleague has some weird race bike with the levers the other way round. When i say that thats a bit odd, it looks as if its me thats weird!

Apparently in the US and A wrong way round brake levers on bicycles are quite common.
