Well I've just ordered....... Part 2

Post by DougL »

Started this in response to Wozza's Part 1....

I've just ordered a BMW C600 Sport which arrives next weekend. I didn't like the GT. I have never spent so long negotiating the purchase of anything for so long. The salesman wasn't budging on his price. Neither was I though and he wasn't letting me walk. Three HOURS later, I had negotiated a fairly healthy discount of a newly launched scooter (from Park Lane no less). It was an exhausting process... but worth it. Taking delivery of a Cosmic Blue matt metallic sport next Saturday with any luck. I'm still not convinced by the build quality, but I'm impressed enough with its performance against the TMAX Mk3 to give it a whirl. I know, I know, I know, more money than sense, but I have no kids... and they're far more expensive than a C600 Sport. At least that's what I keep telling myself.

So exactly how much discount did you get was it 25% or 30% or 40% or what...?

I'm sworn to secrecy. But unfortunately it was not that much. If only. You're a fellow Scot aren't you?

Id be guessing around £600 to £700 off list? Well done for being the first on here, and for being honest about build concerns. I agree, its cheaper than kids so if it floats your boat then good stuff.

Indeed I am and still live in the frozen north, 5°C on the ride home a couple of nights ago.
Lovely scenery though.
If the TGS was a realistic price I might even go and have a look myself.
Who am I trying to kid, no I wouldn't.

HaHa!

I've just returned from a ride to Millau and the Cote d'Azur on the TMAX and longed for more power... so this ticked all the boxes. Or most of them anyway!
