There is another article in this week's MCN from the guy who's running a TMax long term.
This month he splashed out on an Akrapovic exhaust (a mere £780.....) he says it sounds lovely and the scoot goes better. It'd better at that price!
Also says that he changed tyres after getting 7500 miles out of his original Dunlop GPR100s - How did he manage that??? I can barely get 4000 miles out of a set of tyres on my mk3! I could just get 6000 on the mk2, but 7500 no way. Anyway, he said he fitted Michelin 2CT Dual Compound tyres to it - I wasn't aware they did these for the Tmax, so thats another option.

Curiously, said dual compound tyres are not listed in TMax sizes on the Michelin website....

Re: MCN Long Term TMax
Whilst the rear is admittedly slightly flat around the middle (winter riding) the OE tyres on my 2011 TMAX have covered 9200 miles and still have a fair bit of wear left, so it is possible.......
