Ive a hankering for another trad scooter, and I love 2 strokes, Ive read different reports of the new px range, some good some not so good, I do really fancy one, has anyone had a close encounter with the new generation PX,?? any imfo regarding build quality ect. Ive a T5 so I know all about performance and quirks, I'd just like some feedback on if their worth 3K, as Id rather not buy a restored scoot, as you dont know how good the resto has been done.

why not go for the LML version ......its a 2t and far cheaper (about £1000)for the same thing ? You can get all the tuning bits for them as well .....and if it takes your fancy all the silver bits too !

Now on my third LML, the first one was a dog as it wasn't set up correctly after being derestricted so after one too many breakdowns (2 in total) I flogged it. Went back to a Piaggio X8 and a God awful Neco but got bored and swapped the Neco for another 2 stroke LML. Did a couple of thousand miles in a few months and had no problems at all apart from a £16 coil needing replacing. A guy on the forum owned a 4 stroke but wanted a 2 stroke so we swapped. Done about 3000 miles and nothing has gone wrong, I bloody love it!!! Here's a little pic, me on the far right:

Stay away from the 2008/9 LML's with the black speedo's, they have chocolate cranks. Buy a 2010+ model, derestrict it and leave it alone, don't add a 166 or higher kit, they're a recipe for disaster!
As for the PX, there has been a few problems but I guess no more than you get with any scooter:

Personally I wouldn't buy a brand new PX for 3 grand, far too overpriced for what they are especially when they're are loads of used ones about for half the money and only about 5 years old.

Yes, also know someone who has a 200cc 4stroke LML. It goes good and he's very pleased with it after 18 months of ownership. It's used everyday in all weathers too.
ps. Nice scoots Phil!

Yeah buy a 4 stoke. It's like being bisexual, you get the best of both worlds!
