Finally got the mad vibration problem sorted on the old cn250.... after many many months and lots of stress, do i keep it or do i sell it.. as im sure some of you are aware...
It is now running smooth as a babies bottom apparently.... collecting on Saturday.. fully mot'ed....
Overall cost less than buying another one....just.. but saved one of these beauties from being scrapped or broken up.... i am sooooo happy...
now onto the other one i have....

Out of curiosity what was it, or is that too long a story?

Re: Back on the road after 1 1/2 years
to cut along story short....
incompetent arseholes combined with my lack of time....
engine mounting bushes......
also needed new clutch shoes and springs etc.. plus a few other bits and bobs... but the cause of the vibration on pull away (and it was a huge vibration that appeared to come from the front end)...was the bushes...
Fortunatley found a great supplier who stocks everything.. and they are in the uk...

Re: Back on the road after 1 1/2 years
Collected today....smooth as a babies bottom......
Sun was shining.... Lovely day... Until I got to Wells....driving rain, blowing a gale.....lol.... Most enjoyable ride of my life....(forgot about the unique balance of these things...wind and oncoming traffic)....
Couple of minor splutters but seems to have cleared after I filled it up with fresh fuel.......
Not sure I like the sound of the stainless exhaust though... I've got a collection of exhausts anyway.. So I think I'll put the original back on.... Got a new manifold, gaskets etc...
