Newbie saying hello

Post by Saltydog »

Hi, I have been lurking around this site for a couple of years now and have finally taken the plunge and joined, I have been riding bikes for over 35 years but have been off for a while (too long really) but am now back. I really like the maxi scooters and thanks to the threads on this forum went for a Tmax, as I don't have a lot of money ....or knowledge about them, I kept my budget low and searched for over 12 months for the right one, which I hope I have now got! a 2004 mark 1 (at least I think it is) single disc on front wheel and carbs not FI model. It was on ebay but I rang him up and did a private deal the guy was an oldish (60s) former engineer and has looked after it, he also delivered it from Lincolnshire to my house in Manchester for free! How good is that? the condition is really good, it runs really sweet, 11 months MOT 10 months tax and I also got a front and rear spare wheel both with brand new tyres fitted a new drive belt and set of brand new front and rear brake pads all for 1700 quid. So I will be watching for ride outs with some of you guys in the future. All the best from the newby.

Hi Saltydog and welcome. Sounds like you had the right machine for the money. icon_wink-.gif Wales.gif
