No, although it is mandatory (in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, ...) during winterly road conditions (snow, ice). If the roads aren't cleared, the officers habe enough trouble with the trucks and cages.MT606 wrote:Does anyone use winter tyres on their scooters?
That's the most practical option, it's what the inlaws do for their cargn2 wrote:I reckon you does need a set of winter wheels to go with the winter tyres...?
I appreciate the offer but I'd still need a mechanic to fir them properly - I don't mind fannying around with electrics/bodywork but wheels and brakes I'd rather leave to someone fully competent.ridinhigh wrote: will x9 500 wheels fit a evo 400 cos bros got a pair for sale,
ive not seen them yet
I think this is the reason people in England don't bother with winter tires.MrGrumpy wrote:I guess the snag is in the UK that 'winter' conditons are so unpredictable, so you need winter tyres to work up to practically summer conditions, cos it may be winter again next week! Taking scooter rear wheels off is such a faff as well.
