Impressive customer service

Post by spaceprobe »

Well full marks to SYM, I already liked them now I am a big fan. 2 days ago my Maxsym developed a small fault, the key operated seat release stopped working (the key is loose so I assume the cable as snapped). Fortunately the electric release is still working so not an urgent problem but just meant there was no back up. There are no SYM dealers in Brighton, you have Alfs in Worthing (do not keep any scooters in stock and seem to be a dealer in name only), or Groombridges which is about 25 miles in the other direction (they only keep 50 and 125 machines in stock and are in the middle of nowhere). So I dropped MotoGB (Steve SYM UK from here) an email saying since this would be a warranty repair which dealer would he like me to take it too. I had a e mail back to say they had been in touch with CD scooters the local Brighton Piaggio dealer and arranged for them to carry out the work telling me they were expecting a call from me. I have just called them and yes SYM had been in touch with my details and they would be carrying out the warranty work on their behalf, its going in next Friday. I would say that was excellent customer service and if thats the way they are going to treat their customers there will almost certainly be a Maxsym 600 on my drive later in the year :D

Vespa GTS300 Super for practical runabout, Triumph Tiger Explorer for conquering the planet. Car almost obsolete.

Except a closed door, which a mind can't open, but even a stupid hand can.
