Its OK in the east here. Bit damp but no flooding. My weather station has recorded 75mm of rain since 24/1.

How's the wind in Essex dude?

I fly in to Stansted on Friday - I hear there's some real bad stuff due. :(

Fizzy... 16.5mm rain the last half hour and I think we have about 40-50mph gusts. Stansted can cope with wind. Done windy landings and take offs many times. I flew in the St Judes Storm.

A bit off from Stansted but Chelmsford, where I'm working from today, is wet and windy but not too bad. It's currently quite calm. A colleague working from home near Fareham has lost the local mobile cell mast to strong winds though.

Not this winter! Average rainfall, no floods, little ice. Only snow on high ground - Until today anyway! Light snow shower yesterday evening, which partially melted then froze so local roads an ice-rink - even in the car! Wet today, but turned windy....very windy!
