With all these new maxi's coming onto the market I'd love to read an extended comparison review by one of the 'bike mags.
Kymco seem to be bringing their Xciting 400 to the UK, we already have the Maxsym 400 and shortly the 600 will be here, I'd like to know how they compare with established scoots such as the Burgman, X10 etc. I subscribe to T&G but I have been somewhat disappointed with their reviews which seem very shallow, i have written to my favourite mag, MSL and I will let you know what they say.
I'd love to see...

Re: I'd love to see...
good on you smeghead hope you get a reply.
In NZ most of any of the bike reveiws are made by part time riders and do not give a true reflection.
Thats on bikes that still dominate the market let alone scoots that are hardly affordable for bang for buck.
I dont think it matters much as all the major players are close for what they offer in performance etc.
But parts and back up is another story.
If you can carry out your own service and sorting of parts then thats the big one
if i didnt i would not have one.
Let alone 5

+1 for scooter station
The French do excellent magazines too.
Ther is a real difference when French or german mags ask for an interview they spend ages asking loads of questions.
British and American magazines tend to want a press release most of the time and the layouts are rarely as good.
I don't know if its funds are reader numbers or what.

There was a local scooter club break up this week over a comment one guy made probably a Lambretta guy as they are the worst it read "If your thinking of coming on a twist and go you can fuck off somewhere else" Caused a massive shit storm on facebook half club upped and left formed there own club .So it goes both ways but in general some Lambretta and Vespa purists hate autos more than other way around even the vespa autos .I dont hate Lambrettas or old vespas just their pompous owners .Lambretta owners are usually the worst they are the Harley riders of the scooter community
