First 1600 Km's

Post by mac65 »

An update on the Joymax so far. For you guys that don't have a Taiwanese scoot that's the first 1000 miles in! . Well the Joymax is running great, loving it more and more. Fuel consumption is around the 70mpg mark, most if not all of my riding has been in town. Not managed to get a good run out as yet! Except when it was in for the first service, 70 mile round trip!! The other half has too many jobs lined up for me at the weekends!! Getting on well with the stop start, takes a few miles until the system is ready to operate, but very simple to use. Just pre-empt the lights changing from amber to green, little twist of the throttle, and then your ready to move on with the traffic! No sure what difference it makes to the fuel consumption as haven't actually used soot for a full tank with it disabled! Will have to try it after next refuel! Then can post the difference, if any!! ;)

Good all is well and you are still having fun. Took the 600 on a 300 + mile run at the weekend and it went like a dream. Altough its a versitile machine I would say it does love motorways, so smooth at 80 mph producing few revs. I have now put 4 tanks of Shell Nitro in it and over the weekend I got 71 mpg. Reading all the posts about reliability problems with other brands it almost feels we are missing out with our 100% reliable SYM's :D

Sounds good!

IMO your 300 is the best machine they make, I like my Voyager GTS300 a great deal - very dependable and hasn't ever had a single thing go wrong, ever.

IF I get another SYM one day that would be the one I'd go for - but the chances of actually seeing one around cambridge are slim indeed, let alone being able to sit on one and see it in reality. If I lived in Bolton though it would probably be the one for me ;). Plus I'd like bright silver, racing red or bright yellow...

Spotted you again, Sunday night 10pm Haudagain.
How long has it taken you to do 1000 miles?
My Forza is past 10000 miles now and has done 2000 since 31 May.

Yeah that would have been me heading off to start nightshift. That's 1000 miles since End of April, but I only commute about 12 miles a day and trips to the supermarket etc, all within the city. Probbably takes me about 4 days to cover the miles you do in a day!! Were you on your Forza when you spotted me? :D

Not on the Forza, I was at work.
I usually only do about 54 miles a day going to and from work.
