A ride in Goa

Post by horobags »

Ive just got back from a weeks holiday in Goa, we hired Royal enfield bullets and had four days touring Goa. Its not an easy thing to arrange with having to obtain an indian visa which is near £100, but when there we got 350 bullets for £6 per day.
India away from the citys/resorts is beautiful, mostly decent roads considering we didnt really go over 50 mph, but some roads are terrible but fun to ride, and the bullets cope with them really well. The roads over there are full of scoots and bikes, the most popular is the Hero Honda Activa which is very similar to the Honda Lead we have over here. No highway code at all , just beep your horn and bully each other out of the way. Yet I didnt witness any road rage at all, realising the locals just beep there horns to let you know they are coming past. With temps over 35 in the afternoon we couldnt wear protective clothing, but did wear helmets accept on one occasion when Colin thought it was too hot to wear a helmet only to be pulled up and fined £12 while lots of locals road past without helmets.
A great expierience, India is a crazy place, 21st century yet very much 3rd world. Pics to follow. :)
Im not a gynecologist, but I dont mind taking a look.

i bet you both absolutely enjoyed yourselves, good for you lads :D the world is a big place, its nice that you get some perspective of how other folk live, possessions and gizzmo`s are not what everyone needs ... except a scooter or bike :D
I cant seem to remember.. I don't know where I'm going, but I'm on my way.
