My Scooter was written off

As the title says, my SYM Joymax has been written off.
Was at a wildlife park for a day out and as leaving I overheard the entrance staff saying they had to find the owner of a scooter that had been knocked down.
Went down to carpark to find that yep it was my Joymax that had been hit. The wildlife staff had picked it back up. The mirror/indicator stalk was snapped off
and hanging by the wire, panels were cracked and scratched. Exhaust pipe had a massive dent in it. She'd hit the exhaust, which shot the bike off its stand and
of course it crashed down on its side on the gravel - it was a gravel car park. The lady had left her name and number but not stuck around. Got her insurance details
she didn't sound to bothered at all by what she'd done and apparently told the wildlife park staff it was just a little scratch?! It was quite a big carpark and I was
parked in the middle well away from other cars. Sunny day, plenty of room to manoeuvre but nope she clearly didn't even look before reversing across the car park
and ploughing right into my scooter. As you all know Maxi's aren't exactly small. It's bright blue, the top box had the reflective strip and there's the big square
yellow number plate. It was a youngish woman, when on the phone you could hear her kids kicking off. No doubt distracted by them when she was behind the wheel.
Anyhow insurance company took it away and write it off as category N. Her insurance has paid up, I got quite a good amount actually way more than if I sold it privately
I could of bought it back but it was due for a big service and it needed around £1500 to fix all the damage she caused. So just took the money and will buy a new one after
winter.
Just annoys me out of all places to be taken out. Absolutely ridiculous how she managed to hit it in such a big and not very full car park. Even the wildlife park staff were
stunned by how she managed it and her not to bothered attitude. Just shows the terrible standard of driving these days can strike just about anywhere!
