Hi all
Just dipping my toes into the maxi scooter scene. Have had a lot of motorcycles. Ducati monster 796/hypermotard 796/monster 821/ multistrada & nexus 500 .
Im now looking for something I don’t have to make an appt to ride. I do about 50/60 miles a day. Have looked at BMW. Gt 400 se. Just wondering if it’s powerful enough . Other choice is Honda x adv. but would have to be a used one
Any advice ?

Re: Hi
Welcome.
Check out the running costs on the BMW before you get worried about the power though.
My commute is just over 30 miles each way and I find the 300 class of scoots plenty enough, although the Forza 300 doesn't feel quite as happy at motorway speeds as my Xmax or J300 used to. The newer Forza 350 and ADV350 should put that right though.

Re: Hi
My Kawasaki J300 is happy cruising at 70-80 mph with enough left to accelerate if necessary so there definitely isn't any difficulty with commuting on a 300 or 400 scooter. They don't have the instant overtaking power of a bigger bike so you can't "hop" past vehicles on busy single carriageway like you are probably used to doing.
