Hi all, hello from Kidderminster. I've been riding a Honda SH 300 for a year or so. Like many others I've come from motorcycles my last being a VFR750 which was lovely. But age and arthritis made the sporty riding position painful and wheeling it about difficult. Really I didn't know what I had been missing with scooters as they are so easy to use and the SH feels so light after the vfr. I've done more miles on the SH in the last year or so than I did in six years on the vfr.
Now here is a question for any SH experts. I have just changed the belt at 12 miles and purchased a Bando belt from eBay the packaging was stampedfor SH300. However, when measuring the width the new belt is only 25mm wide whereas the original I took off is 26.2mm wide. The bike runs ok with the new belt but the engine note is revving more when pulling off. Is this due to the belt width or just because it is a new belt? The new belt was a lot cheaper than Honda part but now regret cheapskating!
Cheers Uppo
