I know exactly how you feel - the temptation to hang to my mk3 with Malossi variator is very strong - even without your expensive Harley experiences! Of course, BMW have borrowed the enclosed chain idea, so with an extra 15bhp (albeit another 40kg as well), it makes a Beemer sound like a tempting, though painfully expensive, option.spdtwn wrote: Naturally, I say, bugger the 4kg, I'll take an enclosed chain any time.
Makes me feel that I want to forever hang on to my Black Max...now with Leo Vince & J.Costa.

Interesting. I've just had a test ride on thenew Tmax 530 which was OK but a horrible yowling noise from the belt at 30mph. Is this due to poor adjustmet?

Just imagine how much more expensive it will be for the home mechanic, at least dealers get to use it on a variety of machines.Hughie wrote:As Dealers we now need to buy Laptops and the 'interface device' which I know isn't going to be cheap.
All the more reason not to buy a Yamaha, as if the bike and spares prices weren't bad enough already.
