Aprilia Sport Cube 300?

Put about 3000 miles on this scoot now. What can I say about it, well very little really. Cant particularly fault it as it just keeps going and returns 80+ to the gallon. But, well, I just dont like it. It feels like a moped and too small for me? I suppose I just miss a Maxi scoot. I reckon I'll keep it until summer and then go back to a Tmax.

Kind of the way I feel about the baby Burgman (though I quite like it in some ways). But the Burgman is there for commuting, its cheap to run, fast enough for my particular commute and has tons of luggage room for shopping, and for taking the crap and salt so that the TMax doesn't have to.
And having two scoots means that you probably will have one still working when the other plays up!

Well it seems I may unexpectedly have a buyer for the scoot. I think a Dullville will do the job for now.

Well for what's its worth I have a lot of time for the sportcity. It's not a maxi. It's a decent capacity scooter. Too small for some fair enough!

But is has good road handling and for me good looks alongside very efficient fuel usage.

Not for long commutes but for zipping around the city with a bit of attitude there are not many better.

Yes it is a brilliant little scooter, no denying that. Just feels so tiny. It's pretty much the same size as my Son's NRG! I didnt let it go in the end so that must mean I like it more than I realise?

Maybe it does a job for you.....and you do describe it as a 'brilliant little scooter', so you can't hate it that much!

Ah well, I can imagine. Horses for courses etc...

Yeah it's not really ideal on the motorway but it will do it if needed . But for A Roads and round town it's great.

Saying that it took me 13 miles to work on mostly motorways for a long time.

Ok if you stick to the slow lane. To be honest I don't think many 250's would do much better on the motorway.

Some of the new ones have rather more grunt (around 25bhp) which would help. Of course the SH300 had 27bhp so that meant travel in the outside lane - at least until you encountered any crosswinds!
My Baby Burger has 18bhp I think, roughly the same as many older 250s (like the old Maj/Leonardo). It will reach around 75, but cruises more comfortably at 65 which is a funny speed as it puts you between the trucks doing 55-60 and the sales reps doing 80, so you are always lane changing.

The Leonardo has a higher cruising speed than the 250 piaggio variants, but its more sluggish on pull away. The Sport City has the additional economy to win overall though.
