I've got knee problems and while the KLV 1000 is a tall adventure style bike that is easy going on my knee, the ST1100 being lower is painful after an hour in traffic. The Silver Wing is comfy, but I'm 6'3" and 250lbs. The "butt rest" will have to be removed and the seat raised an inch or so with some padding where the butt rest brackets were. I know kits are available to do this and I'll probably get an Airflow adjustable screen as I'm too tall for the OEM.
Now the REAL agony starts - After spending many hours and much money doing my own extensive rebuild on my beloved ST1100, it has to be sold.

Anyway, I've been buzzing around on the S'wing today and feel happy with my choice over a used Burgervan 650 or 400. I felt the overly complex CVT/transmission on the 650 was a problem on older machines, and the 400 was a little bit slow for my liking. The BMW's seem good, but too pricey for me. However, I'm looking forward to someday test riding the first 1,000cc. stepthrough "Adventure Scooter"!
Give me a shout if you're in my neck of the woods as I'm retired and often go for a bimble on a weekday.
